Emergenetics® is a scientifically grounded psychometric tool developed by Dr. Geil Browning and Dr. Wendy Wageman. This trademarked tool is based on a combination of neuroscience and psychology. The reliability and validity of Emergenetics® have been verified through extensive research, which includes behavioral and cognitive scientific studies. Emergenetics® helps to understand individual thinking and behavioral preferences, leading to improved communication, teamwork, and personal development.
The Emergenetics® profile provides a deep insight into individual thinking and behavioral preferences. It consists of four thinking attributes – analytical, structural, social, and conceptual – and three behavioral preferences – expressiveness, assertiveness, and flexibility. This profile helps individuals understand how they think, how they communicate, and how they act in various situations. With this information, self-awareness, teamwork, and workplace interactions can be improved, fostering more effective collaboration and better interpersonal relationships.
The Emergenetics® process begins with an online questionnaire that takes approximately 20 minutes and examines an individual’s thinking and behavioral preferences. Based on the results, an Emergenetics® profile is created, providing detailed insight into how a person thinks and acts. This profile reveals four key thinking attributes and three behavioral tendencies, helping participants better understand themselves and their approach to collaboration with others. To practically apply these insights and start initiating changes, the next step is the workshop.
The full-day Emergenetics® workshop, called Meeting of the Minds, provides participants with the opportunity to practically apply the knowledge gained from their profiles and support both personal and team development. There are various types of workshops focusing on different developmental themes based on the group’s needs. Popular topics include improving teamwork, effective communication, strengthening leadership, conflict resolution, and innovative thinking. Participants of the workshop learn through interactive activities and discussions how to better utilize their thinking and behavioral preferences, enabling them to initiate positive changes in both their professional and personal lives.
